The Summit County Council on Wednesday help its first hearing on individual Neighborhood plans in the Snyderville Basin, as part of the General Plan update. The meeting, though, drew only one person. Rick Brough has more.

Search and Rescue personnel from Summit and Duchesne Counties were busy over the weekend with a rash of missing-hiker cases-primarily two Boy Scouts who went missing Friday and spent the night in the High Uintas. Rick Brough has more.

The Summit County Council has the week off, since Wednesday is Pioneer Day. But the county is continuing with a regional planning effort. County Manager Bob Jasper said that includes Wasatch County, since the approved development around Jordanelle Reservoir is the size of another Park City. Rick Brough has more.

The Summit County Beef program has operated for three years. Now the Summit County government is ready to send it off into the private sector. The program is up for bid, to be sold to a for-profit entity. Rick Brough has more.
