The parent/child Start Smart Soccer program prepares children for organized soccer in a fun environment. Skills taught include dribbling, kicking, passing, trapping, agility and throw-ins. A parent must be present each Saturday, April 26-May 31 to work one-on-one with their child, ages three to five. Sessions are 45-minutes and times range from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fee is $65. Grab some friends, family or co-workers ages 18 and up and join the match in this coed soccer league. Games are played on artificial turn under the lights at the Park City Sports Complex at Quinn’s Junction on Thursdays April 17th to June 19th, 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. There is a $325 fee per team. As volunteer soccer referee Ricardo Portillo is laid to rest after suffering a fatal blow to his head by a 17 year old soccer goalie, communities across the country – and right here in Park City – begin to assess what went wrong so something like this never happens again.
