PCEF Hands Out Doilney Teaching Awards

The Doilney Excellent Educator Awards and the Sarah and Stephen Doilney teaching award were handed out to some surprised educators, as bands from Park City High School played along, adding to the excitement of its annual Park City Education Foundation event. Lynn Ware Peek has more.

Park City Education Foundation Teacher Grants Awarded

The Park City Education Foundation teacher grants have just been awarded as as a result, Park City school kids will get to learn from some innovative new programs those grants will allow. Lynn Ware Peek has more.

Two local parents say they're trying to get answers from the Park City School District about a series of lectures which author Sherman Alexie gave to Park City High School students in September.  Kristen Brown and Art Brothers say that students were reportedly subjected to language that was inappropriate, even racist, and denigrated for their ski color.  While the episode is now water under the bridge, they say they want school officials to be more aware next time.  KPCW's Rick Brough Reports.
