Just in time for winter, a building freeze is in effect for Heber City.  The City Council voted unanimously to suspend any residential building for the next six months.  KPCW's Renai Bodley has the story:

A suspected drunk driver in a pickup truck rammed a car three times on Heber’s Main Street Friday night.   Heber police say it’s not the driver’s first time with a DUI charge and he’s out of jail on bond today.  KPCW’s Renai Bodley has more.

Heber City will have two - possibly three - new city council members next year.  Three seats are up for re-election and only one incumbent is running.  The candidates will face off at a forum Tuesday, October 20th.  KPCW's Renai Bodley has the story.

Relief is on the way for pedestrians on Heber City's Main Street.  As KPCW's Renai Bodley reports, police and residents are happy to hear about UDOT's Hawk Signal. 

The local chapter of Habitat for Humanity will break ground on a new green home this summer in Heber City. Leslie Thatcher has more.

Some residents in the Heber City subdivision of Timber Lakes are worried after two of their pets were shot for wandering into a private hunting preserve in the middle of the neighborhood.   One dog was killed and the other had to have a rear leg amputated.   Rick Brough has more.
