Heber City

An inmate from the Utah State Prison pled guilty last week for walking off a work detail last March in Heber and forcing the evacuation of the local Wal-Mart. Rick Brough has more.

A former Heber Light & Power employee has been arrested on a second degree felony for allegedly charging more than $100,000 on the company's credit card.

The Wasatch Wave is reporting that 54-year-old Anthony L. Furness of Heber City used a company credit card to pay for personal expenses between 2010 and 2013. Citing court documents from the Attorney General's office, Furness was the company's chief financial officer between 2006 and 2013. He allegedly concealed the personal charges by submitting expense account statements and claiming the charges were business related.

Heber City police have located the missing 13-month-old Heber City girl after she was reported taken by her non-custodial father on Monday.  KPCW's Leslie Thatcher reports.

Heber Valley Police Department

UPDATE: The Heber Valley Police located toddler Coraline Aimar and her father Scott, with assistance from the Durango Police Department, in Durango Colorado. According to a press release, the child was found in good condition, and was removed and put in state custody.

The Heber City Police Department is actively investigating a domestic child abduction which occurred March 8, 2014. The father of the child, Scott Aimar (age 31), took the child, 13-month-old Coraline Aimar, out of the State of Utah without the consent or permission of the mother. 

A man is in police custody following an attempted kidnapping in Wasatch County Saturday night. KPCW's Leslie Thatcher has more.
