The controversy over police shootings of civilians is raging across the U.S. It's certainly caught the attention of Dave Edmunds, who is retiring as County Sheriff after 12 years. Rick Brough has more.

Summit County deputies are not reporting as many fire incidents as last year, but in recent days they responded to separate reports of recreationists dangerously mis-using firearms - and fireworks. Rick Brough has more.

In a recent letter to President Barack Obama, 28 of 29 Utah county sheriffs expressed their sorrow for the recent mass shootings but said they will not enforce what they refer to as “unconstitutional” guns law reform that President Obama has called for. KPCW’s Leslie Thatcher reports.
