Last month the Park City School Board unanimously voted in favor of bonding in November for capital projects.  The money would be used to   build a new 5/6 elementary school and to expand the high school. Bond training was one of the agenda items covered in the school board meeting on Tuesday.   Carolyn Murray has more on this:

School Board To Decide on High School Expansion Plan

The two final Park City High School expansion options each plan for a capacity of 2000 students.  Based on the district growth projections, it should last at least ten years.  A decision item to choose which expansion option is on the School Board Agenda for Tuesday at 4 pm.

Park City School District has all but decided to not move forward with grade realignment until the 2018/19 school year.  Many considerations were taken into account in a more than 2 hour discussion of the multiple issues facing the School Board.  Carolyn Murray attended the meeting and has this:

Park City School District grade realignment decisions are in acceleration mode all of a sudden.   The School Board meets on Tuesday morning at 9am.  The agenda includes working through details of implementing changes by the 17-18 school year along with a discussion on a sizeable school bond initiative.   Carolyn Murray has more on the details.

The Park City Board of Education could start to put its grade realignment plans into place as soon as this fall - a year earlier than expected. Leslie Thatcher has more.

The Park City School District has a handful  of sizeable projects underway including the evaluation of a new Drug Testing Policy.  Other committee projects include: High School Start Times, High School Expansion, Grade realignment and Special Education continuity and alignment evaluation.
