Whether recapping the previous night's School Board meeting, informing listeners on a recent development on a government project or a featured story on a piece of local color, veteran news anchor Leslie Thatcher delivers the news that makes Park City a community.

The Local News Hour follows Morning Edition and is KPCW's flagship news program, also hosted by KPCW News Director Leslie Thatcher, every weekday from 8 to 9 AM. Get the information directly from the people who are making the news with live interviews.

Brickey Not Picked For Third District Court

It looks like Summit County Attorney David Brickey won't be stepping up to the bench, at least for now. Governor Gary Herbert announced he is appointing a Salt Lake County deputy district attorney to fill a vacancy on the Third District juvenile court - a position that Brickley was vying for. Highway Mishaps

Summit County sheriff deputies have been busy the past week with a variety of incidents and mishaps on the local roadways. Those include a chase from Wasatch County, and the crash of a cattle-hauling vehicle that resulted in the death of several animals. Rick Brough has more.
