NPR's national show Morning Edition is interspersed with Park City's only daily local news source, live every weekday morning from 6:00 to 8:00 AM. Whether recapping the previous night's School Board meeting, informing listeners on a recent development on a government project or a featured story on a piece of local color, veteran news anchor Leslie Thatcher delivers the news that makes Park City a community.

The Local News Hour follows Morning Edition and is KPCW's flagship news program, also hosted by KPCW News Director Leslie Thatcher, every weekday from 8 to 9 AM. Get the information directly from the people who are making the news with live interviews.

Alexie And Eyre Talk About Indians And The Media

Film Director Chris Eyre and screenwriter Sherman Alexie scored big in 1998 with the film "Smoke Signals", which won the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival and was acclaimed as the first feature written, directed and produced by Native Americans.

But they haven't had a film successful since then. Alexie and Eyre walked to KPCW's Leslie Thatcher about coping with the changing tastes of Hollywood and the mass media perceptions of Native Americans. Rick Brough has more.
