Park City Police say the man was found Monday Morning near the Snow Creek Shopping center.

A 64-year-old Park City man was found dead in a public area Monday morning. The death is not considered suspicious and there is no cause for public alarm.

According to the Park City Police Department, the man was reported missing by his family and friends shortly after midnight on Monday, October 18th. Police and friends searched through the night before locating him just off a trail near the Snow Creek shopping center just before 10am Monday morning.

Police Captain Phil Kirk told KPCW the case is still under investigation, and police are working with the man's family.

Rumors circulated among Park City students and families Wednesday that the man was found at the local junior high school. Kirk confirmed that was not the case.

An official ruling on the circumstances surrounding the death is pending.
