Will Heber City see any traffic relief anytime soon on Main Street?  A bypass would help reduce the number of cars and trucks in the area.  But it's still several years away.  KPCW's Renai Bodley has the story:

  If you don't like the looks of that property tax bill you received at the end of July, time is running out to change it.  The deadline to file an appeal with the County Assessor's office is next Tuesday, September 15.   KPCW's Renai Bodley has more.

Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT)

Relief is on the way for pedestrians on Heber City's Main Street.  As KPCW's Renai Bodley reports, police and residents are happy to hear about UDOT's Hawk Signal. 

The local chapter of Habitat for Humanity will break ground on a new green home this summer in Heber City. Leslie Thatcher has more.

The Wasatch County Council, acting as the Jordanelle Special Service Distirct, recently approved an agreement with a former member of the county council, Steve Capson to serve as a paid spokesman for  JSSD.  He spoke with KPCW News Director Leslie Thatcher on Thursday's Local News Hour.  Here's the interview in its entirety.

Some residents in the Heber City subdivision of Timber Lakes are worried after two of their pets were shot for wandering into a private hunting preserve in the middle of the neighborhood.   One dog was killed and the other had to have a rear leg amputated.   Rick Brough has more.
