Summit County manager Tom Fisher to discuss the Summit County Council agenda  for Wednesday's meeting. Park City Planning Director Bruce Erickson and Community Development Director Anne Laurent preview this week's city Planning Commission meeting. Bob Wheaton, Deer Valley President and General Manager, announces the opening of the 2016-2017 season and Cati Snarr - Principal of the Ballet West Academy Park City Campus has details about this year's production of the Nutcracker at the Park City Eccles Center.

Wednesday afternoon Park City School District Superintendent Ember Conley and Park City Police Captain Phil Kirk held a news conference to update the community on the investigation of the deaths of two Treasure Mountain Junior High School students.  13-year-old Grant Seaver passed away at his home Sunday.  Tuesday, his friend Ryan Ainsworth, also 13, was found deceased at his home.

Dana Williams, former mayor of Park City, is planning a public gathering at city hall Wednesday afternoon.   He says it's a way to "welcome" Vail Resort CEO Rob Katz.  KPCW's Renai Bodley has more:

New Parking Solutions Coming to Old Town

  Parking in Old Town will get more expensive, but the upside is parking will likely be available when you visit Old Town thanks to a new concept that will give people a choice about where and when to park. Lynn Ware Peek has more.

Park City officials met with the CEO of Vail Resorts earlier this week as the Park City Council prepares to discuss the efforts of the Colorado company's trademark application for the words "Park City." KPCW's Leslie Thatcher has more.

Park City, which has long been host to the Sundance Film Festival during the winter, is now looking forward to a warm-weather movie gathering that aims to be an annual event. The Park City International Film Festival will take place this August 10-13 at the Eccles Center. Rick Brough has more.

  The on-again, off-again Treasure Hill project returns to the forefront this week when the Park City Planning Commission begins what's expected to be at least a year-long review process. LPCW's Leslie Thatcher has more.
