The public is invited to weigh in on the proposed blueprint for the Mountain Accord. A public meeting will be held Tuesday evening February 24th at 6 pm at the Park City High School large lecture hall. Members of Mountain Accord’s executive committee will answer questions about the plan to preserve the Wasatch and take public comment. This hearing will wrap up the first phase of the project.
Park City Women’s Business Network is accepting nomination for the 2014 Woman of the Year. Nominations will be accepted until Friday, February 27th. 'Youth Introduction to Lacrosse' offered by Basin Recreation is an opportunity to introduce lacrosse to youngsters. The program is for both boys and girls, and designed for Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Registration deadline is April 17th. The league will be held on Saturdays, April 18th through May 30th. The Image Reborn Foundation is dedicated to the rejuvenation of the spirit for women facing breast cancer and offers no-cost retreats in Park City for any woman who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. These weekend retreats combine relaxation and pampering services while addressing the deeper issues of living with a breast cancer diagnosis. Image Reborn's upcoming retreat is February 27 through March 1.

Canines With a Cause is looking for volunteers interested in learning dog training & assessment skills. Volunteers will foster and train prospective service and companion dogs to be placed with veterans suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Hope Alliance will be returning to Haiti in October and is collecting gently used sneakers and back backs to distribute to 3 schools in rural communities surrounding Camatin, Haiti. These are for poorest of the poor school children aged 5-17 who would otherwise not have the ability to buy these items.
