Alex Butwinski says he should be elected to a second four year term on Park City Council because he has the experience, the involvement with the community, and the ability to help the Council finish the tasks they're working on. Rick Brough has more.

Early voting is underway for the Park City Council race, and the primary election will move four of the six candidates forward to the November elections. One of those vying for one of two council seats is longtime Park City resident and Bonanza Park property owner, Mary Wintzer. Lynn Ware Peek has more.

Early voting ends Friday, August 9 at 5PM and held at theMarsac East Conference Room of City Hall, 445 Marsac Avenue in Park City.

At its Thursday meeting, the Park City council entered a long discussion about the relative responsibility of homeowners and landscapers in keeping in compliance with the Park City soil ordinance which requires a six inch cap over contaminated soils. Lynn Ware Peek has more.

The Park City Council Thursday did not decide on an option, to provide continued service during next year's expansion of the City Library.
