Known for getting all the facts right, as well as his distinctive sign-off, Rick covers Summit County meetings and issues. KPCW snagged him from The Park Record in the '80s, and he's been on air and covering the entire county ever since. He produces the Week In Review podcast, as well a heads the Friday Film Review team.

Rick is also a pop-culture savant (who would bury you in Trivial Pursuit), which makes him the perfect host for KPCW's weekend interview show of filmmakers, actors and critics during the Sundance Film Festival. Revealing his darker side, you can catch him every Friday afternoon with Randy Barton on The Local View discussing which celebrities passed on that week.

Salt Lake County is contemplating a wood-burning ban. But a group called Utahns for Responsible Burning argues there should be an exemption for fireplaces that use green technology. Rick Brough has more.

The horrible traffic jam that Park City suffered on Monday, December 29th is already becoming the stuff of legend.    It's being called "Car-mageddon" by some, like members of the Summit County Council.  On Wednesday,  the Council talked about how to avoid a repeat and how to deal, in general, with congestion and dependence on cars.    Rick Brough has more.

About 200 people showed up Tuesday night for a Snyderville Planning Commission hearing on Phase II of the General Plan.  Most of the crowd gave an energetic thumbs-down to a proposal to jack up the density on an approved commercial area in Jeremy Ranch. And they opposed designating their neighborhood as a Receiving Area for Mixed-Use density under the General Plan. Rick Brough has more.

A Third District Judge in Summit County is ordering a woman accused of posing as a lawyer to stay out of the legal profession. Rick Brough has the story.

As reported, the major topic for the Synderville Planning Commission Tuesday night, in a General Plan Public Hearing, was the Jeremy Ranch neighborhood objecting to more commercial density in their area. However, the comments, from nearly 20 speakers, touched on other topics as well. Rick Brough has more.
