Monika Guendner

Senior Project Manager & Volunteer Wrangler

Monika came on board with KPCW in 2011 as a sales associate in Underwriting and Fundraising, but that was after nine years as a volunteer DJ, and most of them as a co-host of the KPCW Classifieds Show. Her background includes everything from running ELIZAS in an immunology lab to waiting tables to writing for newspapers and magazines. Her real passion is creating memes for her volunteers, enticing them into covering shifts so she doesn't have to.

    BECOME A CHALLENGE GRANT PARTNER

The community relies on KPCW daily, and we rely on businesses twice a year during our pledge drives.

KPCW could not host a successful drive without the participation from business leaders throughout the community. This is an ideal opportunity to promote your business and services to the Wasatch Back, while raising much needed funds for your local, public radio station.

On Thursday, November 26, help is on the way for Thanksgiving cooks, kitchen helpers and dinner guests on this, the biggest cooking day of the year. Lynne Rossetto Kasper, award-winning host of public radio's national food show The Splendid Table®, will be available to answer listener questions throughout the live, two-hour program.

Introduction:

The best way to get better at being on the air is to listen to how other DJs do it. Note their pattern, their tone, what they do and don't do. This page takes snippets some of the on-air hosts and then dissects them into the good and not-so-good. Songs have been cut out to keep the focus on the DJ breaks.
