Sundance FIlm Festival

Park City's renewed contract with the Sundance Film festival is taking on a number of different issues, according to Festival co-manager Sarah Pearce. Rick Brough has more.

  While Park City and the Sundance Institute have reached an agreement to extend their festival contract through 2026, a major part of that deal is the resolution of an issue that's been lingering for several years. That's the agreement for Sundance to move off the Martin Luther King holiday when there's a conflict on the calendar. Rick Brough has more. 

The Park City Council today is expected to unanimously approve an extension to the Sundance Film Festival contract through the year 2026. KPCW's Leslie Thatcher reports.

  The Sundance Film Festival and Park City Municipal are one step closer to a long term deal, with each party agreeing to the most significant aspect of the contract - moving the Film Festival off of the Martin Luther King weekend. Lynn Ware Peek has more. 

The final film is Sundance's summer series, a free showing Friday is a favorite from last winter's Film Festival, chosen by audience members. Rick Brough has more.
