Reality town

Treasure Mountain Junior High will host the 12th annual 8th Grade Reality Town on Wednesday, November 2. At least 180 volunteers are needed to make it successful. Reality Town is a fun educational program that gives a realistic financial experience to middle school students. Students select occupations based on their GPA and then, using their assigned monthly income and family scenario, they have to make financial choices involving housing, transportation, child care, clothing, and more. Volunteers play the role of bankers, realtors, insurers, etc.

For the ninth year, students at Treasure MOuntain Junior High have a chance to see what life will be like after graduation. "Reality Town" is being held on Tuesday for the eighth grade. Rick Brough has more.
