Summer Swim Lessons

Achieve your child’s swimming goals this summer at the PC MARC. Swim lessons for ages six months to 12 years begin in June. Rodeo Queen applications are now online. The Summit County Rodeo Queen symbolizes the young women of our area who wish to further promote the sport of rodeo, and in so doing, promotes the great western way of life. She is the young woman who will represent rodeo as she travels the length and breadth of Summit County. More information and the application is online at

Geocache any Wednesday through Sunday at the Swaner Preserve. Geocaching is great for any age - all you need are sturdy, comfortable shoes, trinkets for trading, a.k.a., geocache swag, which can be purchased at Swaner's gift shop, and a GPS device, which also can be rented at Swaner.

PC Recreation invites adults for summer evening fun on the sand volleyball courts in City Park. Co-ed Summer Nights Volleyball League is four-versus-four from June 7 to August 9 on Tuesdays. Both recreational and competitive divisions are offered. The registration deadline is May 31. For information, visit or call 435-615-5400.

Another Way School is offering two programs this summer. One is a unique customized summer program for children aged 4-9 tailored to meet your child's needs and your schedule. The second program is their first Frontier Adventure Camp from July 25-30 for ages 8-12. Summit Land Conservancy is looking to tap into the brewing business. With over 2,600 acres of protected open space, the Conservancy is looking for citizen scientists to hunt and nurture hops populations in protected open space.
