The Park City Film Series requests short-film submissions for its 11th Annual Filmmakers Showcase to screen on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at The Jim Santy Auditorium,The annual series provides a showcase for short films from new and established filmmakers from Utah. The 44th Annual Park City Ski & Snowboard Swap will be held November 4th, 5th & 6th at the Basin Rec Field House. Sale begins Friday Nov 4th from 8PM - 1AM; Saturday the 5th from 10AM - 6PM; and Sunday the 6th from 10AM - 2PM. Early equipment check-in:  Oct 31st through Nov 3rd from 9am - 5pm at JANS & Cole Sport Park Ave locations, and Friday Nov 4th from 3pm to 7pm at the Basin Rec Field House. PC Recreation’s youth karate program teaches children ages four and up life lessons that build self-esteem, confidence, respect and fitness. Adults can also improve fitness, balance and coordination. Treasure Mountain Junior High will host the 12th annual 8th Grade Reality Town on Wednesday, November 2. At least 180 volunteers are needed to make it successful. Reality Town is a fun educational program that gives a realistic financial experience to middle school students. Students select occupations based on their GPA and then, using their assigned monthly income and family scenario, they have to make financial choices involving housing, transportation, child care, clothing, and more. Volunteers play the role of bankers, realtors, insurers, etc.
