Park City Recreation offers two great opportunities at the PC MARC.for kids to get a jumpstart on the summer swim season. Swim Lessons for ages six months to 12 years are offered May 2nd to May 25th on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Pre-Comp Swim Team allows kids ages 6 to 14 to hone their strokes from May 8th to June 2nd, Monday thru Thursdays from 4 to 5 p.m. For registration and more info, visit parkcityrecreation.org or call 615-5400.

PC Recreation offers instructional skateboard clinics for kids and their parents and all girls at the Park City Skate Park on Sundays, May 7th to May 28th. Spring service began Monday, April 17th. Peak operating hours are from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm. Service to Silver Lake Village & Empire Pass will be suspended until mid-June. Volunteers needed to assist with the March for Science on Saturday, April 22. Meet at the JGO Gallery 408 Main Street at 7:30 AM for coffee and bagels to get assignments. Marchers will meet at 9:00 at the Brew Pub parking lot at the top of Main and will loop back there for a short rally with local speakers at 10:00 AM. Four volunteers are needed to assist at the Jim Santy Auditorium at 10:30 for the snacks and speaking event scheduled from 11:30-2:00PM. Are you curious about Prohibition? A time when Americans could no longer manufacture, sell, or transport intoxicating beverages. What made the country go “dry”? The Park City Museum’s latest traveling exhibition “Spirited: Prohibition in America” takes you back to the time of bootleggers and flappers, and real-life legends, such as Al Capone.  On exhibit now-May 25. This summer, the YMCA is offering an excursion based summer experience to Park City Campers ages 6-14. Each day campers will meet at a central location, then head out on a new adventure tied to that week's theme. Kids can build new relationships and try new activities as they explore some of Utah’s greatest treasures here in our own backyard. The Home Energy Assistance Target Program, known as HEAT, is open to applicants through April 30, 2017. This program provides a benefit to assist individuals and families to pay higher energy costs during the winter season. Eligibility and amount of benefit is based on income, household size and composition. Applications are accepted by appointment, by mail or online.
