Park City School District's high school expansion committee presented four design options in Tuesday night's public input session. Between forty and fifty people attended and were given a chance to give the committee feedback. KPCW's Carolyn Murray attended the meeting and has this:

For the past 30 years, teachers in the Park City School District have been awarded grants from the Park City Education Foundation. Due to a generous donation this year, the Foundation was able to award ten more grants. KPCW's Melissa Allison has more.

Area High School Graduation Numbers Stall

Summit and Wasatch County high schools have been graduating more and more students each year. But according to a new report from the Utah Office of Education, the Park City and Wasatch County school districts aren't seeing those upward increases for this year. KPCW's Carolyn Murray has more.

Park City School Districts Financials In Good Shape

Park City School District financial statements and business methods were praised by an independent auditor from Squire and Company as solid and safe. The Tuesday morning work session included a heavy dose of financials, school capacity and budget talks.  Carolyn Murray was at the meeting and has this story. 

On Tuesday, the Park City School Board began discussing implementing a drug testing policy in the district.  They authorized a policy subcommittee to proceed with researching and proposing a program with the intention of putting it in place for next school year.

The Park City Board of Education will further discuss whether the district should implement drug testing for students. Leslie Thatcher has more.

The film is a graphic depiction of Opioid addiction in the United States.  Special agents from the DEA and FBI , along with Community Health Workers, participated in the panel discussion that followed the movie.  

They indicate the  abuse of pain killers and synthetic opiates in Utah and nationwide is unprecedented.
