Utah Highway Patrol

The Utah Highway Patrol canine unit and the Park City Police Department conducted a routine drug search Tuesday morning at Park City High School.  Multiple hits were detected by the search dogs.  One case has been referred to Juvenile Court.  Carolyn Murray has this:

Utah lawmakers are scrutinizing the budget trying to find money for education.  They’ve identified about $69 million in possible cuts and the House is considering using that extra money for teacher raises.  Carolyn Murray has this:

On November 14th a Park City High School student reported seeing a man pointing a gun across a field on the Kearns campus.  The man saw the student, concealed the gun and walked away.  The incident fell under the Park City Attorney’s Office jurisdiction.  Three months later, the prosecutor is now able to provide a statement to the media.   Carolyn Murray has this:

AT&T Inc. needs to boost its cell signal and has approached the Park City School District with a proposal to place cell towers on the Eccles auditorium. The images provided by the telecom company show the towers will not exceed the height of the existing building.  Carolyn Murray has this:

The Park City School District is a step closer to a master plan although there is still no firm date for completion. With the demographic study recently completed, they’re ready to enter the next phase, which involves collecting a large amount of internal data.   Carolyn Murray has this:

The Park City School District hired the consulting firm Lewis Young Robinson & Burningham, Inc. to predict student growth through 2027. The firm estimates that 476 new students are likely to come into the district over the next 10 years. Carolyn Murray has this:
