Park City Day School

The Park City Day School is the outcome of a merger of two local private schools: the Park City Academy and the Colby School.  They’ve been operating since 2010 offering preschool through eighth grade. The learning model used considers the whole child, which means they put emphasis on student’s emotional as well as academic development.  The school is working on International Baccalaureate accreditation. There is also a student-led effort to ban single use plastic bags in Summit County. Carolyn Murray has the story:

First guest is Matt Pacenza with HEAL Utah.  HEAL is hosting its 14th annual breakfast fundraiser this Thursday with Shawn McGrath, former EPA Regional Administer as keynote speaker. Then Daisy Fair from Copper Moose Farm stops by to discuss their open house happening this Saturday the 20th. Finally, three students from Park City Day School come in to discuss their efforts to raise awareness and money in support of Bonanza Flat.

Park City Students Qualify For World Competition

A team of five middle schoolers from the Park City Day School and the Weilenmann School of Discovery has qualified to attend the Odyssey of the Mind World Competition in Michigan a little later this month.  Carolyn Murray has more.
