Ice Pigging Cleans Park City's Pipes

"Ice pigging" releases the scales formed on the interior of pipes. A succession of samples show how the ice pigging cleared the pipes.

When municipal water flows through pipes on its way to homes, an inevitable build-up of minerals and what is called "scale" accumulates, and every once in a while, those pipes need cleaning. Lynn Ware Peek has more.

Park City Mountain Resort Is Amended Suit

Attorneys for the Park City Mountain Resort filed an amended lawsuit last week against Talisker Land Holdings, in the resort's effort to maintain its leases on over 3,000 acres of its ski terrain.
The revamped lawsuit has added five new corporate defendants, tied to Talisker or Vail Resorts, and alleges that the Mountain Resort's rights under its leases have been violated, because Talisker has sold or transferred the property to a third party.
Part of the new lawsuit has been blacked out, in the copy available to the public. Rick Brough has more.

Summit County Council Reviews Proposals On Open Space

The Summit County Council on Wednesday looked at two proposals to transfer open space to the Snyderville Recreation District. They approved the first proposal, for a small parcel near Kimball Junction... but concerning a large section of land at Summit Park, they had more questions. Rick Brough has more.

Hotel On 224 Get OK By County Council
