A report issued by the Utah Avalanche Forecast Center says that Park City avalanche forecaster Craig Patterson died as a result of a very small avalanche with a very bad ride. KPCW’s Leslie Thatcher has this update.
The Summit County Sheriff’s office has released the names of the Oakley couple involved in the murder/suicide Sunday. The two deceased individuals are identified as 40 year old female Toni Lyn Cavagnaro and 45 year old male Sean Thomas Kenealey of Oakley.

Canyons Resort is asking Summit County for an extension of time to complete its golf course, which is supposed to be finished by this September. County Manager Bob Jasper says the resort is asking for another year to finish the project.
Summit County Council Member Roger Armstrong is suggesting that the county should look again at the topic of dogs and the county leash law. Park City Municipal is being sued by the owner of an affordable-housing unit in the Flagstaff neighborhood. In the litigation filed in Third District Court, Gretchen Brooks says that under the city's enforcement of the Deed Restriction on her unit, she can't rent it for enough to cover her costs, and she can't personally use the housing.
