The Summit County Services Building in Kamas is finally open after some delays. The new building houses several public services including a new health department. David Boyle has more:

Officials of the South Summit School District know that there's some opposition in the Kamas Valley to their proposed $58 million school bond. They won't know how much opposition until election day, November 7th. However, the school district has secured an important endorsement. Rick Brough has more.

Earlier this week, Kamas City officially approved the vote canvass for its municipal primary. The results showed there is still a very tight race between two city council candidates, which has only grown tighter as time wears on. But the result has been reversed since the initial tally on August 15th -- by just one vote. Rick Brough has more.

1000 Riders Try the New Electric Bus Service

It’s been more than a week since the new electric bus has come on the Park City transit scene.  It’s running every ten minutes between Kimball Junction and Old Town.  Carolyn Murray has this update.

The former police chief of Kamas has filed suit in the Third District Court against Summit County, former County Sheriff David Edmunds, and the city of Kamas. Adam Jones says he lost his job as chief because of a malicious prosecution against him -- which was ultimately dropped by the county -- which alleged he mishandled a domestic violence complaint against his brother and tried to cover it up. Rick Brough reports.

Utah Highway Patrol

Kamas mayor Lewis Marchant suffered a heart episode on Monday, December 5, causing him to crash a school bus into a power line pole. He was hospitalized in critical condition. KPCW's Leslie Thatcher has more.
