Accomplished storyteller Elly Reidy retells "The Scholar and the Bird"; Liz Weir recounts her telling of an iconic Irish tale, "Jack and the Magic Horse", Julie Barnson of the Utah Storytelling Guild shares a folktale from Denmark called "Blockhead Hans". 

It's Easter Sunday and you will enjoy Cathy and Dave's banter about eggs. This show spotlights a family tale called "Broken Bones" by one of our listener favorites, national storyteller veteran, Donald Davis. Donald creates and performs stories that reflect rural America in the 50's and 60's. 

Ted Erekson storyteller for over 28 years, has a wit and wisdom about him. Enjoy his storytelling abilities while he shares his tales including: "Wide Mouth Frog", "Nurse Jane"; and the powerful fable "What Seems Like A Curse".


Spotlighting World Oral Health Day, which was celebrated this past week, we include a hilarious tale by Bil Lepp, an internationally-known storyteller and humorist. Bil is a FIVE time winner of the West Virginia's Liars' Contest. You will enjoy this outrageous tale called, "I Love My Dentist". Ed Stivender will also share his tongue in cheek tale, "Peanut Butter".

National Storyteller and Story Mine favorite Ed Stivender, shares several of his premier called "Jack" Tales. A prolific storyteller he has been telling stories since 1977 and entertains when Jack tries to do what people tell him to do, but somehow he always gets it wrong. Sometimes he seems foolish! The stories include: "The Silliest Goose;" "Seeking My Fortune" and "Dublin Jack".

People clamor for certain classic shows and we present today one of our Story Mine segments called Tell Tail Tales. The stories include David Bullock telling "Goldie The Wild Cat" and a story and poem about his dog, Frodo. Cathy shares a delightful tale called "Dog For Sale."
