Park City Golf Club is starting a new fun league this summer, called "The Happy Hour League" starting Friday, June 24. It is designed be an informal, no pressure, no handicap, no stress, fun league playing a scramble format. It will be open to both couples and single adults. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Play will be once a month on a Friday evening. Membership is $20 for the league with tee times starting at 4pm. Greens fees and prize money for the game paid each time you play. Park City Golf Club is offering a 4 day Beginners Clinic June 14th, June 16th, June 21st and June 23rd, from 5:30 to 7 PM. Clinic will be limited to 15 participants and cover all aspects of the game. Call the Golf Club Pro Shop at 435-615-5800 to sign up or for more information.

Canyons golf course designers and builders are scrambling to make the final holes of the golf course green, in order to be ready for its opening in just over three weeks. Lynn Ware Peek has more.

Summit County Manager Bob Jasper said he doesn't know what the Canyons Resort will present tomorrow about its 18-hole golf course - and the scheduled completion by September.

He did say the developers have asked to change one of the benchmarks scheduled this summer. Rick Brough has more.

Summit County Manager Bob Jasper told KPCW Tuesday that he’s preparing to grant Canyons Resort a year’s extension on the deadline to finish their golf course. The new deadline will be September 30th of 2014. Jasper also said he has selected a new permanent Development Director. Rick Brough has more.

Canyons Resort is asking Summit County for an extension of time to complete its golf course, which is supposed to be finished by this September. County Manager Bob Jasper says the resort is asking for another year to finish the project.
