Electric Bus

Wasatch County is in the midst of massive growth with the Mayflower project about to launch, plans to build a new county road near the Jordanelle Reservoir, an open space bond resolution for November, and transit talks with Summit County and Park City. Carolyn Murray has this update from the county manager:.

Park City purchased a fleet of battery-powered buses last year. The six buses have traveled about 250,000 miles and transported 350,000 passengers since June. The city will replace seven of its diesel fleet with long range electric buses later this year. Carolyn Murray has the details:

It’s been more than a week since the new electric bus has come on the Park City transit scene.  It’s running every ten minutes between Kimball Junction and Old Town.  Carolyn Murray has this update.

Park City and Summit County rolled out six new zero-emission, battery electric busses Friday that will transport riders between the Kimball Junction and Park City transit centers in 20 minutes with just two stops. KPCW’s Leslie Thatcher was there for the ribbon cutting of the Electric Xpress and has this report.
