After working so hard on an initiative that would have brought as much as $700 million of new money into Utah's schools through the Our Schools Now ballot initiative, it wasn't easy for the Utah Education Association to back down and work out a compromise with state lawmakers. But now Heidi Matthews, UEA's president, calls the outcome "monumental."  Leslie Thatcher has more:

In her final year in the Utah legislature Senator Pat Jones is looking for a lasting education legacy. She thinks she's come up with a bill that many on both sides of the aisle can get behind and will pump an additional 400-million dollars into schools statewide. KPCW's Leslie Thatcher has the story.
