  - Synderville Basin Planning Commissioner Colin DeFord talks about what happened in Tuesday night’s meeting where they discussed helicopters landing in the basin.  Also, he tells us what the commission
discussed in regards to the proposed Woodward Gorgoza indoor sports facility.  
-Then, good news for the People’s Health Clinic at Quinn’s junction, which serves the uninsured residents of Summit and Wasatch Counties.  They just got a big donation that will help them expand their clinic hours.  Executive Director Beth Armstrong will tell us more.

Snyderville Planning Commissioner Colin Deford is hoping to move up to the Summit County Council. Rick Brough has more.

On today's program, Leslie Thatcher speaks to Summit County Development Director Pat Putt and Personnel Director Brian Bellamy; Colin Deford, who is running for Summit County Council; Kyle Oram who talks about solar panel installation; and Rick Rea, Artistic Director of Ziegfeld Theatre Company about Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

The filing window for sate and county races opens Friday, March 11, but already candidates are emerging. Rick Brough has more.


Today on the Local News Hour, we speak with Snyderville Basin Planning Commissioner, Colin Deford about the former Colby School site proposal,  Then, Matt Abbot of the Park City's Sustainability Team on how to reduce  consumption of electricity and natural gas, Diane Foster and Jason Glidden from Park City Municipal, Trish Hatch and Pat Jones from the Women's Leadership Institute, and the Youth Sports Alliance.  

About 200 people showed up Tuesday night for a Snyderville Planning Commission hearing on Phase II of the General Plan.  Most of the crowd gave an energetic thumbs-down to a proposal to jack up the density on an approved commercial area in Jeremy Ranch. And they opposed designating their neighborhood as a Receiving Area for Mixed-Use density under the General Plan. Rick Brough has more.

With a pretty short agenda Tuesday night, the Snyderville Planning Commission looked at changes on some older developments - including an addition to the Tanger Outlet Mall. Rick Brough has more.
