For the second time in recent months, the judge presiding over Park City's ski resort court battle has reviewed internal documents from Park City Mountain Resort, and determined they are priviledged and confidential. That mean they can't be disclosed to attorneys for Talisker.

In the meantime, though, Talisker has made a different request for records from Park City Mountain. The issue will be argued before the court Monday morning. Rick Brough has more.

Hundreds were treated to a free cup of coffee this morning as Canyons Resort unveiled a new partnership with Mountain Trails Foundation that could potentially raise tens of thousands of dollars for the non-profit organization.

At a reception last night, Vail Resorts and Canyons Resorts handed out more than $500,000 in checks and committed more than a thousand hours of paid employee time to 10 Park City non-profit organizations. KPCW's Leslie Thatcher has more.

  Canyons Resort will partner with the East Canyon Watershed Committee as the 4th annual Vail Resorts Eco Day makes its debut in Utah this Saturday. Lynn Ware Peek has more.

Canyons Epic Pass

Canyons season pass holders will save more than $300 on a season's pass this year than last, if they're willing to forgo 11 days of skiing during the busy holiday weeks. KPCW's Leslie Thatcher has more.

After it was announced earlier this year that Vail Resorts would be operating Canyons Resort. Vail representatives said they would also take over in the legal fight between Talisker and the Park City Mountain Resort.

Despite those assertions, Talisker was represented in a court hearing Tuesday, July 31, by its long-time counsel, John Lund, who said he will continue to handle the case.

But some questions remain, though, about just who the clients are now, behind the legal dispute. Rick Brough has more.

The Park City Mountain Resort is asking to add two more causes of action in its lawsuit against Talisker-the landlord for the Resort's ski terrain. 

The Mountain Resort says that a breach of its lease has occured, with the news that Vail Resorts is operating Canyons - and also, apparently taking over the lease of the 3700 acres of ski mountain used by the Mountain Resort.
