John Marzluff

This Green Earth's first guest is Adam Briggle who is a philosophy professor and author of a new book titled: A Field Philosophers Guide to Fracking – How One Texas Town Stood up to Big Oil and Gas.  He talks about the grass roots effort that he was part of, the David and Goliath nature of the battle and how he applied a philosopher’s toolkit to breakdown and addresses such a hot button issue.

Today's first guest is John Marzluff, Professor of Wildlife Science at the University of Washington, whose research  is focused on jays and ravens. Then, University of Utah electrical engineers, Neal Patwari and Brad Mager, discuss the development of wireless sensors that can detect a person falling.
