Guest Larry Levine, a legal analyst with the NRDC explains what this case is about and the consequences. In the second half of the show, Chris talks about the recent visits to Parley’s Park Elementary, Park City High and the Park City Medical Center and what they are doing to reduce waste and waist lines.

It’s day two of the KPCW February Pledge Drive. On today’s show, supporters and friends of This Green Earth, Jones Waldo and Swaner Nature Preserve join Nell Larson and Chris Cherniak. First, Greg Cropper from Jones Waldo is in the studio to help support KPCW. Representing Swaner Nature Preserve, Sally Tauber and Andrew Giunta are also in the studio to show their support. This is one of just a few radio shows in the country dealing with environmental issues.

In the second half of the show, Mary Closser and Tania McIntyre explain what Parley’s Park Elementary is doing to reduce their cafeteria waste and how the students are involved in a program called “Cool The Earth”. To wrap up the hour, a recap of the Sundance documentary’s “Chasing Ice” and “Fierce Green Fire”.
