Lynn Ware Peek is an endurance athlete. and lover of the mountain lifestyle. Tim Henney is also an endurance athlete, an advocate of healthy whole-lifestyle, and sits on the Park City City Council.

USA Luge

 

 This morning we get ready for a few more winter sports.  Nordic (cross country) skiing and luge. First we speak with Dave Hanscom,  the race director of the popular Wasatch Citizen Series which began in 1979 and continues with 6 races this winter.Then we speak with two Olympians who are US luge athletes, Erin Hamlin and Chris Mazdzer and they’re in town for the Luge World Cup  along with athletes from over 30 countries – all at the Utah Olympic Park – competing this Friday and Saturday.

Lynn Ware Peek and Tim Henney welcome Julia Geisler, executive director of the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance who is on the program to talk about tonight’s fundraiser  - the showing of the film, Rock Reel, at the Jim Santy Auditorium.  The second guest is Dr. Harry Adelson, discussing regenerative medicine and the use of stem cell therapies.  The final guest on the program is Matt Schiller, owner of The Park City Boot Room, to talk about how he can provide ski boots to live in.

External beam radiation treatment of cancerous tumors has been a long-standing practice with side effects that are often traumatic and potentially debilitating. Resources, both financial and intellectual, continue to be allocated towards and focused on defeating cancers, resulting in refined and improved treatment and greater efficacy.
