The Morning Mix

Fridays, 9 to 10 AM

The information and entertainment show will feature regular and rotating segments, covering food, outdoor recreation and sports, travel, music, theater and other local, leisure activities. Anchoring the show each week will be a segment on what to do on the weekend.

“The Morning Mix” is hosted by Park City residents John “JW” Wells, Jude Robinson and Christie Dilloway.

Ways to Connect

  John and Christie’s first guest is Mike Rogers who performs live, in studio. The second guest on the program is Scott Thompson from OP Rockwell. Guest number three is Richie Furay of Buffalo Springfield and Poco who is performing this week at the Egyptian Theater. 

  John and Jude’s musical guests today are Sol Y Momma who perform live in studio. Then they visit with Insa Reipen from Recycle Utah, who brings us up to date about Uncorked Utah happening today from 5 to 10 pm.  The final guest is Robin Marrouche, Executive Director of the Kimball Art Center. 

  The Morning Mix today, live from the Wallsburg Music Festival.  John and Jude’s first musical guest is Elizabeth Hareza who performs live from Wallsburg.  The second guest is Matthew Morrison who will be performing this weekend with the Utah Symphony at Deer Valley.  Then, John and Jude introduce Mindy Dillard who sings and plays live.  Final guest on the program is Rei Hotoda who is an associate conductor of the Utah Symphony.  Our thanks to Roger Crawford for his assistance in engineering the live broadcast from Wallsburg. 

  Music guest Joel Pack performs live in studio today. Then, Judy Cullen, Marketing Director of Squatters and the Wasatch Brew Pub along with Matt Bishop, talk about local hops.  

  John and Christie welcome cast members from the show Rock of Ages performing tonight at the Egyptian Theater.  They perform live in studio. The second guest on the program is Renee Huang from the Deer Valley Music Festival who offers a schedule of summer events. Final guests today are Daniel Lewis and Patton Murray from the Leadership Class Project.

  John and Jude’s first guest is Oli K who performs live in studio.  Then Moe Hickey makes an appearance talking about the Big Stars Bright Nights Lineup for the summer season. Finally, Michelle Moore and Warren Workman talk about the Park City International Film Festival. 

  John and Christie welcome Brian Kelm, President of the Utah Blues festival which is being held Saturday June 18th at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City.  This is the only festival in Utah solely dedicated to increasing awareness of a uniquely American musical art form – Blues music

The second guest on the program is KPCW General Manager Larry Warren who brings us up to date on all the station’s summer activities.

The Final guest on the program is Katrina Kmak from the Park City Library speaking of all the summer kids’ activities the library is offering.  

  John and Jude welcome Singer Songwriter Rob Harmon to the program.  Rob performs live in studio. The second guests on the program are Jason Dyer and Alex Mietcen  who bring us up to date on Olympic Day which takes place June 15th and 16th. And finally, Rick Brough talks about the entire summer blockbuster movie season coming our way.

  John and Christie welcome their musical guest, Elizabeth Hareza, who performs live in studio. The second guest on the program is Scott House from White Pine Touring who talks about a new climbing school and new permitted climbing areas in the Uinta Mountains.  Finally Brian Richards of Mountain Town Music tells of upcoming events.  

  This morning on The Morning Mix, John and Christie introduce musical guests Bill McGinnis and Steve Seskin who perform live in studio. In segment two, Janet LePera stops by.  Janet is one of the top LPGA instructors in the world.  The final guest is Dude from Cole Sports talking about the Bike Swap happening  this weekend benefiting the Mountain Trails Foundation.
