Snyderville Basin Special Recreation District has scheduled a control burn in Toll Canyon Open Space some time through late February based on the required conditions for snow cover, weather conditions and air quality to ensure safety.. Under the direction of the Summit County Fire Warden, slash piles remaining from the 2016 fire mitigation and forest health project will be burned. The burning of these piles is necessary as they present a continual fuel load that needs to be properly mitigated as part of the project guidelines. Toll Canyon is located between Summit Park, Pinebrook and Timberline neighborhoods, just south of I-80 at Parleys Summit. Visit basinrecreation.org or call 435-649-1564 for more information.
