RMP Proposed Settlement Is Opportunity For Customers

Rates will remain in effect until 2032 for solar customers who are grandfathered into the program.

Last November Rocky Mountain Power proposed a new rooftop solar metering plan that infuriated those who have made the investment to have solar panels installed. In response, the Park City Council sent a letter to the public service commission condemning the rate changes. Now Governor Gary Herbert is proposing a settlement between Rocky Mountain Power and the many stake holders. KPCW’s Melissa Allison tells us why it’s important and how you can take advantage of it.
