Remembering Tom Mathews, Pioneer of Peace Corps and Modern Park City

When Tom Mathews died last Saturday at the age of 96, he was remembered publicly as a Salt Lake Tribune writer and a political player during the Kennedy era. But Park City locals remember him as a resident here for decades, and as a man who held a number of connections to the early days of modern Park City, according to long-time local businessman Bill Coleman. Rick Brough has more.

Known for getting all the facts right, as well as his distinctive sign-off, Rick covered Summit County meetings and issues for 35 years on KPCW. He now heads the Friday Film Review team.
