With just days before a crucial court hearing, the Park City Mountain Resort is arguing that if the Third District Court authorizes an eviction from the ski mountain they've been using, it will be an injustice not only to them, but to many third parties that depend on the resort for economic survival.
In a filing last week, the Resort asked that an eviction be postponed until they can pursue an appeal to the Utah Supreme Court. The Resort sys that if they have to vacate their leased ski mountain, the Resort will immediately close. They say a shutdown - even for one winter - will destroy hundreds of jobs and drive dozens of shops and restaurants out of business. Rick Brough has more.
