Prepare for slow traffic Friday afternoon, May 27, on eastbound U.S. 40 in Summit County. The Utah Department of Transportation warns travelers to expect delays between Exit 4, Kearns Boulevard, and Jordanelle Reservoir from 2pm to 6pm. UDOT says those delays could be between 45 minutes and one hour long. Eastbound traffic is currently reduced to one lane. And starting Friday, June 3, U.S. 40 is scheduled to be down to one lane in each direction, with all traffic shifted to the eastbound lanes. Those restrictions are scheduled to be in place through August for bridge repair work.
