The Park City Fire District responded to a fire at 4:14 p.m. today on the hill above Jeremy Ranch Elementary by the Red Hawk Trail. The fire burned about one acre and on-duty Battalion Chief Ray Huntzinger said, the 15 firefighters that responded had it contained within 45 minutes of arriving at the site.
They suspect, at this point, that the fire was started by lightning. Huntzinger added that no domestic animals or wildlife were harmed and no structures were in danger.
