KPCW Announces New Pledge Drive Competition For Nonprofits

KPCW
KPCW Pledge Drive Phone Room Volunteers, August, 2017

KPCW announces a new competition for nonprofit organizations during its Winter Pledge Drive.  The winners will get a free underwriting contract on KPCW for six months!

The pledge drive begins Monday, 7 a.m., Feb. 26 and ends Thursday, 6 p.m., March 1.  All nonprofits sponsoring an hour of the pledge drive are eligible to win.  The nonprofit that has the most unique call-in donors during its hour on air, combined with the most unique online donors, will be declared a winner.  So will the nonprofit that raises the most money.  Each winner will receive three free underwriting spots a week starting March 1 through August, 2018.  The nonprofit may change its underwriting message each month.  The value of the underwriting package is $1,950 - $2,730.

"This is a great way for area nonprofits to help KPCW raise money, and in return, earn valuable on-air time for their own message throughout the year, " says KPCW General Manager Renai Bodley Miller.  "Part of KPCW's mission is to help other nonprofit organizations in our community succeed by providing them a platform from which to spread their message.   We do that through our news coverage and public affairs shows, but also through reduced rates for underwriting.  And now, with this new competition, two lucky nonprofits will get six months of messaging for free."

To help your favorite nonprofit win the underwriting prize, call 435-649-9004 to make a donation when your favorite nonprofit is on the air; see schedule below. Or, at anytime until 6 p.m. March 1, you can go to www.kpcw.org,click the DONATE button and enter the name of the nonprofit you support in the Comments section.

Best of luck to all participating nonprofits, and thank you for supporting KPCW!
