This Green Earth - October 20, 2015

With the human-caused 'Sixth Extinction' receiving increasing attention, Johns Hopkins University Press recently published a book whose title pulls no punches: The Annihilation of Nature: Human Extinction of Birds and Mammals. In segment one, host Chris Cherniak and Nell Larson interview professor Paul Ehrlich.

In the second half of the show they speak with Gaia Vince about her book  Adventures in the Anthropocene - A Journey to the Heart of the Planet We Made, which is a record of Vince's world travels and encounters with people who are already doing something to mitigate or adapt to their changing climate.
