With the human-caused 'Sixth Extinction' receiving increasing attention, Johns Hopkins University Press recently published a book whose title pulls no punches: The Annihilation of Nature: Human Extinction of Birds and Mammals. In the second half of the show they speak with Gaia Vince about her book Adventures in the Anthropocene - A Journey to the Heart of the Planet We Made, which is a record of Vince's world travels and encounters with people who are already doing something to mitigate or adapt to their changing climate.
