Jan 10, 2017

On the January 10th show, Nell Larson and guest cohost Renai Bodley started by talking with Sheryl Carter, Co-Director of the Natural Resources Defense Council's Energy Program, about the future of renewable and clean energy here in the United States. Sheryl and her team see this area continuing to grow and thrive despite political hurdles, and Sheryl explains why.  During the second half of the show, David Nimkin, Regional Director of the National Parks Conservation Association, joins us to discuss the Obama administration's recent designation of the Bears Ears National Monument, providing the historical backdrop for this major move, and filling us in on what we might see next.
