Known for getting all the facts right, as well as his distinctive sign-off, Rick covers Summit County meetings and issues. KPCW snagged him from The Park Record in the '80s, and he's been on air and covering the entire county ever since. He produces the Week In Review podcast, as well a heads the Friday Film Review team.

Rick is also a pop-culture savant (who would bury you in Trivial Pursuit), which makes him the perfect host for KPCW's weekend interview show of filmmakers, actors and critics during the Sundance Film Festival. Revealing his darker side, you can catch him every Friday afternoon with Randy Barton on The Local View discussing which celebrities passed on that week.

Conditions Added To Indian Hollow Approval

The proposed Indian Hollow Development near Kamas has received an approval from Summit County Manager Bob Jasper, after discussion and debate over the past 15 years.

However, the approval for the 65-lot project did come with several conditions due to concerns from the public. Rick Brough has more.

Hearing For Two Proposed Tax Increases Next Week

The Summit County Council is scheduled to hold a hearing next week, Wednesday, August 14th, on two proposed tax increases. But County Manager Bob Jasper says nevertheless that in several neighborhoods of the county, the total tax bill, in dollar and cents, is less than the previous year. Rick Brough has more.

Second Bear Invades Scout Camp And Gets Shot

For the second time in less than a month, a black bear has been shot after intruding into a Scout Camp in the High Uintas. Officials with the Division of Wildlife Resources shot a two-year-old male early Tuesday morning after their efforts failed to drive it away from camp. Rick Brough has more.

Closing Water Deal Still Ahead

In late June, a signing ceremony brought together water providers from Park City, Summit County, and the private Summit Water firm, to commemorate a historic water compact in the Park City area. 

However, the bolts of reviewing the agreement haven't been finished yet. Projections are that a final closing will take place in late August. Rick Brough has more.
