Known for getting all the facts right, as well as his distinctive sign-off, Rick covers Summit County meetings and issues. KPCW snagged him from The Park Record in the '80s, and he's been on air and covering the entire county ever since. He produces the Week In Review podcast, as well a heads the Friday Film Review team.

Rick is also a pop-culture savant (who would bury you in Trivial Pursuit), which makes him the perfect host for KPCW's weekend interview show of filmmakers, actors and critics during the Sundance Film Festival. Revealing his darker side, you can catch him every Friday afternoon with Randy Barton on The Local View discussing which celebrities passed on that week.

Barton Previews A Possible 3.2 Follies

Upcoming shows at the Egyptain Theatre, like the Follies, may just be "3.2 beer" events, and won't include wine - unless Egyptian Manager Randy Barton successfully pleads his case at a Tuesday morning meeting of the Utah Liquor Commission.

Barton, who is also a KPCW host, says the Commission and the State Division of Alcohol Beverage Control have shifted direction and won't allow the Theater a single-event wine or spirits permit. Rick Brough has more.

Filing Window Closes With Slew Of Candidates Ready To Run

Voters in Summit County have a good-sized roster of candidates to choose from in the 2014 elections for county, school board and state-wide offices.

As the filing window closed at 5 o'clock yesterday, the results showed - among other things - a large field of contenders running for a Park City school board seat, and also for County Auditor.

And while it looks like Representative Mel Brown wouldn't have any competition, a trio of challengers filed against him in the final hours Thursday. RIck Brough has more.
