Leslie Thatcher

News Director

Tough but fair, Leslie is the woman most of Park City wakes up with every weekday morning. Her 23 years at KPCW has given her depth and insight, guiding her as she asks local leaders and citizens the questions on everyone’s minds during the live interviews of the Local News Hour.

As KPCW's News Director, she has the pulse of the community and an unmatched range of contacts that allows the station to cover everything going on in town, from increased school taxes and water rates to personal achievements and community-wide victories. When she's not sussing out the next story, you'll see her face at many Park City events, as well as on the ski hill and mountain trails.

Park City Stories - John Vrabel

John Vrabel

With not a flake of snow for more than two weeks, it’s hard to imagine the winter of 1968-69 when Park City needed the help of the National Guard to remove snow from Main Street and the staff of Park City Mountain Resort spent days digging out to open back up for skiing.  In 1968, when John Vrabel got out of boot camp – he came home to Park City and  didn’t sign up for winter quarter at the University of Utah.
