2014 Elections Already Has Two Candidates

David Brickey, left, and Robert Hilder, right, have both stated their intention to run for Summit County Attorney next year.

The election is more than a year away, but there will be a contest in 2014 for Summit County Attorney. Former Third District Court Judge  says he plans to run for the job, as a Democrat. And incumbent County Attorney, David Brickey, a Republican, says he will be asking voters for a third term.

Helicopters scooped water from the nearby Rockport Reservoir to help contain the Rockport Fire.

Park City Elks Club Awards First Responders

The Park City Elks Club handed out awards to local First Responders at its annual barbecue Saturday afternoon. The plaques were handed out even while firefighters and police were keeping an eye on the embers of the Rockport 5 fire. Rick Brough has more.
