Three Hospitalized After Cottonwood Heights Party

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS (AP) - Police in Cottonwood Heights say they've issued a dozen citations at a party where people had taken the so-called "date rape" drug.

Officer Brian Eschtruth says police responded to a disturbance around 7 a.m. Sunday at an apartment complex on South Highland Drive. 

They found one unconscious 20 year old man next to a swimming pool and another unconscious 23 year old man who was sliding into the pool. One officer pulled him out of the water. Authorities also found a 19 year old woman passed out on a couch inside an apartment.

Sky Lodge Hearings Are Taking Place

A Third District Court judge last week again heard the opposing sides in the legal battle between Sky Lodge owner Ken Abdalla - and the board governing the HOA of the lodge.
The ruling from Judge Ryan Harris didn't come down entirely in favor of either side. But the judge set another date in June for a major hearing in the case. Rick Brough has more.

Summit County Preliminary Rounds Are Up And Going

The state Democratic and Republican conventions this weekend had some significant results for Summit County voters. 
Park City Democrat Donna McAleer won the nomination for the second time, to oppose Rep. Rob Bishop for Utah's first Congressional District Seat. At the GOP gathering, three legislators who represent Summit County easily defeated their challenges. Rick Brough has more.

Republican And Democrat Caucus Changes

To all appearances, last weekend's Republican and Democratic state conventions could be the last round for Utah's caucus and convention system as we know it. A bill in the recent legislature altered the process for candidates to get on a primary ballot.

But Summit County's Democratic and GOP party chairs think the caucus system might still be basically unchanged. Rick Brough has more.
