Mountain Summer - July 18, 2014

Meisha Lawson joined John Wells for another edition of Mountain Summer, including a visit from Greg West of Utah Olympic Park. He dropped by to talk about Western Day on Saturday (7/19). Travis English from Summit County dropped by with Paige Lindsay, Miss Summit County -2013. They talked about the fair coming up in the next few weeks. Laurie Backus, a park ranger at Jordanelle also joined the show to talk about Fire On The Water, also on Saturday (7/19). Meisha and John also gave a rundown of a bunch of other events all over the area this weekend.

Council Agrees With An Affordable Housing Plan In Park City

The Park City Council, meeting last night approved an Affordable Housing Plan for the Park City Heights development near Quinn's Junction.
Council member Tim Henney said it's the first step in a process that they will review and ajust yearly.
Right now, he said the residential units are market-driven, within a so-called "bandwidth" of affordable pricing. Rick Brough has more.

Council Denies Vinyl Siding In The City

The debate over vinyl siding, heard by the Park City Planning Commission in June, came before the Park City Council last night. In the end, the Council turned thumbs down on vinyl, and went counter to the recommendation of their Planning Commissioners. Rick Brough has more.
