The Summit County Council on Wednesday looked at two proposals to transfer open space to the Snyderville Recreation District. They approved the first proposal, for a small parcel near Kimball Junction... but concerning a large section of land at Summit Park, they had more questions. Rick Brough has more.
A 9,000-pound concrete slab - an artifact of 9/11 - arrived in Utah last week, and is going through a 20-city tour of the state before it settles at a permanent home at the Fort Douglas Military Museum.
But its visit to Park City this Saturday is special, since a local businesswoman played a major role in acquiring the slab for Utah. Rick Brough has more.

Then, University of Utah electrical engineers, Neal Patwari and Brad Mager, discuss the development of wireless sensors that can detect a person falling.
The Summit County Library system is participating in Banned Books Week, along with many other libraries across the country. That's highlighted by a free screening of a movie on Friday. Rick Brough has more.
