In the next couple of weeks, Third District Judge Ryan Harris is considering a large quantity of claims, allegations and legal arguments from both sides in the Park City Mountain Resort ski hill lawsuit.
In the past two weeks, the Judge heard oral arguments on three major disputes. Last week, the Mountain Resort - which had said it still has a valid lease of over 3,000 acres of its ski hill - said its lease was violated because the landlord, Talisker Land Holdings, in effect, sold the property to Vail Resorts. Summit County Sheriff's officers are investigating the shooting death of a woman which took place Friday night in a cabin neighborhood up Weber Canyon. The investigation is still preliminary, but indications are that the case is a suicide. Rick Brough has more.
